The year 2010 has already been a tremendous one for Christophe and his staff. On the evening of Jan. 18 in Beverly Hills, Gio Ponti was honored with two Eclipse Awards: Champion Turf Male and Champion Older Male.The achievement put Castleton Lyons’ Gio Ponti in a select group of horses who have pulled off this rare double. The legendary John Henry was the last horse to sweep both honors, and that occurred 28 years ago.. More...
